We are delighted to have recently been awarded the contract for landscaping works to the impressive new Stockport Interchange. The interchange is part of a 1-billion-pound investment set to transform Stockport not only by improving transport links, but by bringing an innovative new greenspace into the heart of the town centre, and right on top of the station itself.

Our role encompassed a diverse range of civil engineering and landscape tasks to create a dynamic urban space directly above the station.
The works involved constructing a podium-level public park with integrated roads, cycleways, and link roads. This included intricate deep drainage installations exceeding 3 meters, as well as the implementation of SUDS features such as permeable tarmacadam surfacing and rain gardens.
We also executed specialised construction techniques like Gabion walling, coloured tarmacadam, resin-bound surfacing, kerbing, and edging to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of the space.
